Altus Public Schools One Stop Enrollment will take place on Friday, July 31 from 8 a.m - noon at the Altus High School Cafeteria. One Stop Enrollment is for any student new to the Altus School District Pre-K through 12th grade. All schools will be on-hand that day, as well as the child nutrition, transportatin and extended day departments. After One-Stop Enrollment, elementary students not attending Rivers Elementary on base will need to obtain school assignment paperwork from the Altus Schools Administrative Center (located at 219 N. Lee) before they will be able to enroll.
All elementary students will need to enroll at their perspective elementary on Friday, August 7th from 8 a.m - 3p.m. This is also the designated Meet-the-Teacher Day for Altus High School, Altus Junior High and Altus Intermediate School from 8 a.m. - noon.
Students who are enrolling in Altus Schools for the first time should bring the following items: Birth certificates (K & Pre-K), proof of residency (such as proof of payment of local or ad valorem taxes, title to a residential property in the district, valid and unexpired mortgage/lease agreement, receipt for payment of rent, current utility bill, or notarized affidavit verifying residency), current immunization records, Social Security Numbers for each child (optional), previous school records, and proof of custody (for children not living with a parent).
