Altus Public Schools, a 5A district in Southwest Oklahoma offering highly competitive coaching pay, is seeking a dynamic High School Head Pom Coach for the 2026–2027 school year. This position leads a program of student-athletes who perform at pep assemblies, football and basketball games, and compete in GameDay competitions.
The ideal candidate will be a dedicated leader committed to managing all aspects of the Pom squad, including choreography, technical training, and game-day performances, while fostering a culture of academic and athletic excellence. Responsibilities include creating choreography, overseeing program operations, and maintaining financial accounts. Candidates should have a strong dance background, the ability to motivate high-achieving students, and must meet all OSSAA coaching requirements.

Altus Public Schools is proud to welcome Coach Craig Hubbard as the new Head Football Coach for the Altus Bulldogs. Coach Hubbard returns to Altus after serving one year as defensive coordinator at Center High School in Texas. He previously spent two years as the Bulldogs’ defensive coordinator under Coach Reed.
Coach Hubbard brings 31 years of successful coaching experience at both the high school and collegiate levels, including numerous postseason appearances. He also served eight years in the United States Army.
“Amy and I are grateful and excited for the opportunity to come back to Altus.
I am looking forward to serving as the Head Football Coach and working with the players, staff, administration, and community,” Coach Hubbard stated about his return to Altus Football.

During halftime of this Friday’s boys basketball game, Circle K and Dr Pepper are bringing the excitement with Shoot for Loot! One senior student will get a chance to win up to $700. Seniors can sign up this Friday in the gym lobby for a chance to be the lucky one selected. You will need to show your student ID when signing up.
