Congratulations to our Child Nutrition Director for being recognized as a 2024 Community Health Champion by the Oklahoma Turning Point Council. Over her 16-year tenure, she has implemented numerous initiatives, including the innovative "breakfast in the classroom" program and the "High-Performance Bulldog Meals" for athletes, significantly improving student nutrition and health. She led the charge in 2020 bus meals to students and community members across Altus during the COVID shutdown. Sabina has forged partnerships with local organizations, expanded summer meal programs, and shared resources with surrounding rural schools, ensuring that all children in Jackson County benefit from her work. Her commitment to fostering healthy lifestyles and promoting wellness within the community exemplifies the spirit of this award. Sabina, we are proud to have you on our team! #AltusProud #BuildingBulldogs
