
The Altus Bulldog Archery Program will have AHS Archery Tryouts for anyone interested in shooting NASP BULLSEYE and 3D Competitions. Tryouts will take place November 12th - 15th at the Altus Intermediate School from 5:30 7:00 P.M.

On Wednesday, October 16th, the aviation students from Altus High School embarked on a field trip to the Stafford Air and Space Museum. The students were fortunate to have a knowledgeable tour guide named Frank, who provided them with an engaging and informative experience..During their visit they had the opportunity to explore a variety of exhibits where they learned about the remarkable history and achievements of General Stafford and his significant contributions to the state of Oklahoma. The museum's exhibits allowed students to immerse themselves in the world of aviation and space exploration, sparking their curiosity and inspiring them to pursue their own dreams in these fields.

AHS students participated in the Anadarko Monster Chalk Drawing Competition. Carlos Flores received the "Judges Choice" award and Abby Reyna won "BEST OF SHOW."











Youth Leadership Oklahoma (YLOK) is currently accepting applications for Class 25. YLOK is seeking applicants who are current high school juniors and passionate about advocating for their community and state. During the program, 52 selected students from across the state will travel throughout Oklahoma from June 1-6th, 2025 and learn about critical issues that impact Oklahomans (examples include, ethics, entrepreneurship, health care, economics, philanthropy, tribal government). Participants will have the opportunity to connect with peers and develop their leadership, communication and interpersonal skills. This program is provided at no cost to the participants. Applications are due December 7th, 2024. Juniors can locate the information on the Schoology Class of 2026 Group.

Altus High School's Elysa Miranda was a presenter today at Altus Air Force Base's Coffee with the Commander. Eylsa discussed her time as a military dependent and the challenges she and other military students face. Her resilience and leadership skills were evident. #AltusProud #BulldogDNA



Congratulations to The AHS Academic team! They competed and won the Blair Fall Invitational Academic Team Tournament Saturday, October 5th.


Altus High School students traveling to Taft Stadium for our football game with John Marshall on Friday will need to have their Student ID with them to enter the stadium. Altus Fans will enter through the South Gate at Taft Stadium. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at the gate. Tickets are also available online. The QR code is attached.


Members of the AHS Choir are headed to Lawton to perform in the All-Region Choir Concert. Congratulations on being selected to participate in this event. Your hard work and dedication are admirable, and AHS is proud of you.

Starting TONIGHT (10-4-24) on the east side of Hightower Memorial Stadium, we will activate new caution lights after the visiting team arrives and leave them on until the team has left. Additionally, we also block off the outside southbound lane of North Park Lane adjacent to the stadium so that visiting teams can park their buses. We ask all motorists to be on the lookout for pedestrians crossing Park Lane.


The AHS Interact Club has established a Hygiene Closet. Members of Interact Club believe that part of succeeding in school is having personal confidence and having your needs met is way to build that confidence.
