Altus High School celebrated Pink-Out on Friday, Oct. 31.
Bulldog Football Honorary Football Captain was Mrs. Brooke Reed, a Special Education Teacher at Altus High School.

Brooke was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer in February of 2025. Since that time, Mrs. Reed has undergone 6 rounds of chemotherapy, surgery, and 9 months of immunotherapy.

Brooke is the wife of Head Football Coach Jeremy Reed and the daughter of Gary and Sherri Scott. But her most cherished role is being mom to Peyton, Khamden, Jeymon, and Rylan. She thrives on attending their sporting events and supporting them in all they do.

Mrs. Reed would like to thank the football boys for keeping her going, especially on her worst days, when they would pop in and pester her! She would also like to thank the football parents and the community of Altus for the prayers, cards, gift cards, meals, and baskets. This helped the family more than you will ever know.

Brooke’s faith was vital in her journey.
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have kept the faith.” 2 Timothy 4:7
